| Mary M. Morgan is a self-taught photographer who has been taking photographs for 32 years. The last 7 years have been a turning point for this amateur photographer turned professional. "In 2001, I was downsized from my management position at a home health care company -- it was the best thing that ever happened to me professionally," says Morgan. Since then, Morgan has taken thousands of digital photographs and has become a self proclaimed color management specialist, producing all prints and graphics in-house. "I think that the digital darkroom is the best thing that has happened to photography since its inception. I have complete control over the color of my photographs... I am not at the mercy of whomever is running the photo machine at the local photo print shop", explains Morgan. "Also, there are no chemicals involved.......much better for the environment." "One of the other great things about a digital darkroom are the digital filters, which can be used to create an additional art form." Morgan says, "I can turn a photograph into PhotoArt by applying a filter such as watercolor or dry brush. Then, I print the PhotoArt on specialty (archival) art paper using my Wide Format (giclée) Printer and the results are stunning!" As a Graphic Designer who caters to Small Businesses, including Artists and Musicians, Morgan provides design and small run printing that larger companies won't touch. Morgan's product line includes: Giclée Printing Services, Business Cards, Brochures, CD Cover Design, Photographs of Artwork, Logo Design, Photo Restoration and Stock Photos.. |
